Overview

At Meat Wagon, we take extra care to ensure your order arrives fresh, safely packaged, and on time. Because we ship perishable meat products, please read this policy carefully so you know what to expect and how to receive your order properly.

Where We Ship

We currently ship to addresses within the contiguous United States. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international addresses at this time.

We are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes. A physical street address is required for all orders.

Shipping Carrier

All orders are shipped via USPS. Tracking information will be emailed to you once your order has been dispatched.

Shipping Rates

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your order and delivery location.

Order Processing Times

Orders are typically processed and packed within 1–2 business days of being placed. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will begin processing the next business day.

You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details once your order has left our facility.

Estimated Delivery Times

Delivery times vary based on your location and the shipping method selected at checkout. Estimated delivery windows are provided at checkout and are estimates only — they are not guaranteed.

To preserve freshness, we recommend selecting the fastest available shipping option for your region, especially for fresh (non-frozen) products.

Perishable Packaging

All orders are packed with care to maintain safe temperatures during transit. Depending on the product type, your order may include:

  • Insulated packaging to retain cold temperatures
  • Gel ice packs or dry ice to keep fresh and frozen products at a safe temperature during shipping

Please open and refrigerate or freeze your order immediately upon delivery. Do not leave perishable shipments sitting outside for extended periods.

Note on dry ice: If your order contains dry ice, handle it with care — do not touch it with bare hands. Allow it to dissipate in a well-ventilated area before disposal.

Receiving Your Order

It is your responsibility to ensure someone is available to receive your order on the expected delivery date. Meat Wagon is not responsible for spoilage resulting from:

  • Missed deliveries or packages left unattended for extended periods
  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses provided at checkout
  • Delivery delays caused by USPS, weather events, or other circumstances outside our control

If you anticipate being unavailable on your expected delivery date, please contact us in advance so we can work with you on timing.

Incorrect Addresses

Please double-check your shipping address before placing your order. If an order is returned to us or undeliverable due to an incorrect address, we cannot guarantee the safety or quality of the products upon return. Additional shipping charges may apply to reship the order, and we are not responsible for any spoilage that occurs as a result.

Delivery Delays

While we do our best to ensure timely delivery, shipping delays can occasionally occur due to carrier issues, weather, or high-volume periods. If your order is significantly delayed, please contact us at danny@themeatwagon.net and we will do our best to assist you.

Lost or Stolen Packages

If your tracking information shows your package as delivered but you have not received it, please:

  1. Check around your property and with neighbors.
  2. Contact your local USPS office with your tracking number.
  3. Reach out to us at danny@themeatwagon.net if the issue is not resolved.

Meat Wagon is not responsible for packages that are stolen after delivery confirmation. We will work with you on a case-by-case basis to find a resolution where possible.
